Job Description


Reporting to Finance Manager To be based in Blantyre



To manage the Treasury and Credit department of Vivo Energy Limited in accordance with group guidelines and the company’s Treasury and Credit Policies and Procedures. Ensure appropriate controls are in place and operational.


  • Ensure proper management of cash and OD facilities at all times.
  • Ensure that Accounts reconciliations are performed on a timely basis and reconciling items explained and cleared promptly.
  • Manage proper execution of Forex deals in accordance with treasury policies and procedures.
  • Maintain proper controls over local currency and Forex payments processing.
  • Maintain up to date fit for purpose treasury procedures.
  • Manage and maintain e-banking system as per the group guidelines.
  • Manage and maintain banking mandate as per the group guidelines and Treasury Policy.
  • Manage and maintain banking relationship as per the Group Treasury guidelines and Local Treasury Policy.
  • Act as the company insurance focal point.
  • Ensure issuance of bonds and guarantees on timely basis and properly controlled.
  • Act in fiduciary trust of the Company’s Pension Funds and ensure proper communication between the Pension fund administrators and Trustees.
  • Ensure active and effective treasury management of JVs as per the group treasury policies and procedures.
  • Timely Order processing (including payments plans) and delivery to customers on time through strict adherence to credit policy and MoA on order processing.
  • Proactively manage Credit Exposure.
  • Responsible for credit Performance Management, debt collection and bad debt management.
  • Organize periodic Class of Business and Local Credit Committee meetings.
  • Ensure that A/R Controls are in place and being applied.
  • Manage a Credit data base system.
  • Proactively report on credit issues to central team.


  • ACCA professionals, Degree in Finance Management preferred Those with Masters in Finance Management have an added advantage.


  • 3 years’ hands on experience
  • Experience in accounting and Finance, SAP software and Staff Management
