Position Title: Territory Manager/ Lubes Category Manager
Reports To Sales & Marketing Manager
To manage the Retail network portfolio/ (existing and new sites) to maximise its medium and long term profitability and returns including capex optimization and profitability and returns including improving the like for like growth
Work closely with retailers to deliver sales targets and maximize site profitability and retail site development potential. Promote and develop Engen 1 Card and lubricants sales in his/her area.
To participate in the elaboration and implementation of the OU retail portfolio plan
The Retail Lubricants Category Manager is responsible for driving Lubricants sales in Retail through category product planning and execution of strategic product marketing plans.
Ensure delivery of the retail lubricant volume &amp; margin, through delivery of the agreed category agenda and working with retail team to deliver excellent on-site execution.
Maximize all sales development potential whilst protecting Vivo Energy’s interests, through t coaching and motivating of Retailers.
Manage the relationship between VIVO Energy and Retailer at site level, ensuring consistent delivery of the Shell Customer Commitment
Develop and maintain a strong HSSE culture, deliver agreed HSSE targets, and protect Vivo Energy interests by ensuring that all HSSE standards and procedural compliance are adhered to and stakeholder relationships are managed pro-actively
To perform investment appraisals of growth\/value added projects and to prepare business cases for capital expenditure requests, including Maintenance capex budget.
Timely negotiation of property purchase, lease agreements/supply agreements and renewal and financing (loans, prepaid rentals/rebates) far existing company-leased and dealer-owned service stations
Coordinate Key retail data collection and updates: market data (both at macro and micro level) including competitors data
Work with the Ops Support team to establish the integrated profitability to both VE and Retailer and provide input in the Retailer Master Plan.
Responsible for all property administration in the retail network portfolio & timely payment of rents, Responsible and taxes. Responsible for ensuring that network information systems reflect the correct data.
Track and report network KPI’s on a monthly basis.
Job Knowledge, Skills & Experiences:
Degree in Management or Engineering or Sales or any related field
Minimum 7 years’ of work experience, preferably in a retail environment
Strong negotiation skills
Strong people management skills and the ability to coach and train others.
Pragmatic, hands-on and ability to spend substantial time travelling in the field/on site & requires driving license.
Results oriented and ability to deliver through others and lead team synergies.
