Job Description

African Parks is a non-profit organisation that takes on direct responsibility for rehabilitation and long-term management of National Parks, in partnership with governments and local communities. By adopting a business approach to conservation, supported by donor funding, African Parks aims at making each park sustainable in the long-term, thereby contributing to economic development and poverty alleviation. AP in Malawi currently manages Majete, Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserves and Liwonde National Park.

Location: Liwonde National Park

Reporting to: Financial Accountant

Expected start date : A.S.A.P

Type of contract : Fixed-term (36 months), with a possibility of renewal based on performance


An opportunity has arisen for the post of Stores Supervisor at Liwonde National Park. The Stores Supervisor will directly report to Financial Accountant and will be responsible for ensuring effective management of Stores Stocks.


  • Oversees and administers the Store Room
  • Receives, identifies and verifies goods in stock and ordered
  • Ordering goods required by getting various quotations from suppliers and compare prices
  • Maintains inventory and updates bin cards for all items on timely basis
  • Preparation of purchase requisitions for all items as and when required & issuing goods received note
  • Controls the issue of consumable & non- consumable items and ensure proper record is maintained for items issued to staff. Ensures that they are kept in good condition and that they are repaired or replaced as necessary
  • Maintains equipment and instruments.
  • Ensures that the Store Room is organized and kept clean
  • Handling Fuel pump and Fuel issues ensuring proper reconciliation of fuel balances
  • Keeping track of assets and maintaining proper records
  • Any other duties reasonably assigned from time to time.

  • Minimum of 3 years work experience


  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in relevant field of Stores & Purchasing.
  • Basic knowledge of Serenic Accounting System will be an added advantage.
