St. Andrew’s International Primary School is seeking to appoint an excellent PE Teacher for a position within our Academic Staff.
This important teaching position will require the successful candidate to exhibit the following characteristics:
Fully qualified teacher status (Internationally recognised)
Extensive experience in the delivery of a British-style PE curriculum
A positive personal ethos and a proactive approach to education in the British style
The ability to plan and execute high quality lessons, resulting in excellent attainment for children of all abilities
The ability to work as part of a team in the delivery of a world-class education
The willingness to work hard and collaboratively to achieve the aims and objectives of the school as a whole
Confident and successfully use social media platforms to celebrate the sporting life of St Andrew’s
The willingness to adapt to change and new initiatives as and when they arise
The ability to act as a role model for all our children and junior members of staff.
The personal drive to expand good teaching practice outside the boundaries of our school, in line with the school’s ambitious vision.
The Role
The successful candidate will take on a leadership role within the PE department. In this role the candidate will be expected to enhance the physicality of all of our children through secure and comprehensive planning, and the ongoing monitoring of individual attainment.
The candidate will also be responsible for the preparation of our squad teams to ensure that they are ‘competition ready’ and motivated towards their competitive goals.
Looking beyond the boundaries of the school, the successful candidate will also be committed to sharing good practice with other schools, and developing a high personal profile in the sporting community within Blantyre and the wider community in Malawi. In short, growing the sporting reputation of St. Andrew’s so that we become synonymous with sport development in Malawi.
