PL FM and GD TV invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to  fill the following challenging positions:  



Position: SENIOR MARKETING OFFICER 



This is a middle management position reporting directly to the Commercial Manager. The  successful candidate is expected to establish and develop long term business relationships  with existing, potential listeners and clients; sourcing, identifying and securing new business  opportunities, generating creative solutions for clients, presenting campaign proposals,  making the sale and delivering accurate reports and forecasts of revenue. 


Duties and Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for day-to-day Radio and TV sales operations and achieving revenue  goals. 
  • Increase brand awareness and loyalty, grow the audience and attract advertisers as  well as interpreting data about radio markets and audiences.  
  • Create spot, non – spot and digital sales opportunities and establish overall tone and  direction of the department priorities. 
  • Design and implement promotional campaigns and events that will engage audience  and meet client needs. 
  • Manage budgets and ensure the efficient use of resources. 
  • Develop client – specific pitches, attend client meetings and client networking  events, make presentations and close sales. 
  • Initiate market research studies and analyse findings to understand customer and  market opportunities for PL FM and GD TV. 
  • Create interest and sale advertising air time to current and potential customers Provide timely weekly revenue and pacing reports  


Qualifications, Experience and Attributes: 

  • Must be a committed Christian and possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business  Administration (BBA) or Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication or  Graduate Diploma of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) or other related  fields. 
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Radio and Television Advertising and Marketing  Management 
  • Excellent Analytical, Negotiation, Interpersonal, Organizational, Computer and Strong  Proposal Writing Skills 
  • Must be flexible, organized, professional, disciplined, courageous, confident, creative  and personable.  
  • Must possess a good driving record and a valid driver’s license
