Job Description

Pharmanova Limited is the leading Pharmaceuticals Manufactures in Malawi operational for over 40 years and is manufacturing almost 50 OTC and ethical medicines.  Some of these medicines are nationally known brands like Panado, Panado Extra, Children Cafemol, Improved Cafemol, Novaspirin, Nova La, Hedax, Novafen, Novidar SP, Phipps Milk of Magnesia, Phipps Gripe Water, Stearns Cough Remedies etc.

The company also manufactures skin care cosmetic creams like Hinds Pink cream, Camphor cream, Nova Care Camphor, Novaseline and repacks baby care range of products like baby bath, baby shampoo, baby powder, baby lotion, and baby oil.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sales Representatives build relationships with buyers and administrators in a wide variety of businesses to sell goods and services.
  • To contact customers, pitch and explain products for sale, negotiate the sale price and provide any requested information or answers to questions that a customer might pose regarding the product. Their primary responsibility is to get their product into the hands of customers.
  • To revolve around the ability to network, build relationships with clients and persuade others to purchase products.
  • Be knowledgeable about the product
  • Identify prospective customers, lead generation and conversion
  • Contact new and existing customers to discuss needs
  • Emphasize the features of products to highlight how they solve customer problems
  • Answer questions about the products
  • Negotiate prices and terms and prepare sales agreement
  • Collaborate with colleagues in many different sectors
  • Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to continue relationships.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

The job requires collaborative skills including the following skills:
  • Customer service skills to listen to the concerns of a customer and be able to address their needs.
  • Interpersonal skills to work with a wide variety of people each day, build relationships and network.
  • Confidence and strong self- assuredness to succeed in cold-calling customers and making sales.
  • Communication skills, especially persuasion, to clearly convey the benefits of a product to potential customers
  • Physical endurance, as Sales Representatives may need to be on their feet for long hours, spend a lot of time traveling between locations.
  • Only those who possess a valid driving license category C1 with proven experience of 5 years.
