Job Description

Our client, a leading telecommunication Service provider is seeking energetic, aggressive, and  self-motivated and result oriented individuals to join its team in the position mentioned below  to work under its Sales department:  


Post: RURAL SALES EXECUTIVE
 


To manage rural retail sales and distribution activities including management and supervision of  distributors, channel partners, subscriber acquisition, retention, dealer relations, and related  financial performance in order to achieve revenue, quality gross additions and market share  growth targets. Also to monitor area sales and distribution performance in relation to business  goals.  


REPORTING TO THE ZONE SALES MANAGER, THE ROLE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
 

Business Performance and Revenue Growth 

  • Achieve subscriber volumes, retail revenue and market share objectives as per territory  Business Plan.  
  • Manage retail sales budgets to ensure budget achievement  
  • Attainment of Area Sales targets for the three business lines – Voice, Data and Airtel  Money.  

Subscriber, Retailer and Agents Acquisition 

  • Quality Gross Additions Acquisitions for the assigned rural area.  
  • Recruitment of Voice, AM and Data retailers and/or agents within responsible rural area.  o On the job coaching of distributor sales men(DSRs),Trade Developers & Brand  Ambassadors  

Distribution and Serviceability  

  • Product availability and service delivery in the assigned rural area.  
  • Grow the total outlet base by recruiting new dealers to the Airtel Distribution Network in  line with set benchmarks for numeric distributions. 


Trade Development and New Channel Development  

  • Ensure that all outlets are visible and merchandised to standard as laid out in the Route  to market specifications.  
  • POS roll out in trade based on set standards and trade marketing guidelines  o Ensure that the design of route coverage provides for optimum service levels for the  dealer network in an efficient and effective manner. o Trade and consumer promotion  execution  
  • Identification and development of new trade channels o Branding opportunities and  development  


Market Intelligence 

  • Provide regular market intelligence and competitor developments to the management o Be  able to adopt and adapt to changing environment and priorities in accordance with  company objectives

Educational and Experience Requirement  

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a sales & distribution environment. 
  • Diploma preferably in Sales, Marketing or Related Business Field.  
  • First Degree in Business Administration will have an added advantage  
  • Computer packages i.e. Word & Excel (knowledge in PowerPoint important)
