The National Economic Empowerment Fund Limited (NEEF), a licensed Microfinance Institution wholly owned by the Government of Malawi invites applications from suitably qualified persons with proven hands-on microfinance or banking experience to fill various positions tenable at Head Office, Regional Offices and its branches throughout the country as follows:

Position: Risk and Compliance Officer (1 Tenable in Lilongwe)

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.

Key duties and responsibilities

•  Developing and overseeing control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal and regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
•  Evaluating the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously.
•  Revising procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.
•  Reviewing draft company policies.
•  Assessing the business’s future ventures to identify possible compliance issues and provide advice or training.
•  Draw up business continuity plans/procedures.
•  Keeping abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the Fund as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.
•  And any other duties that may be assigned by management from time to time.
