Green Innovation Center (GIC), formerly GL Consult is a registered development consulting firm operating under the Companies Act (No. 15 of 2013) with a registration number 1011713.
GIC provides innovative program evaluations and assessments, creative applied researches, disruptive fundraising and demand driven trainings informed by practical and participatory inputs from the clients and stakeholders. Over the years, GIC has served wide range of clients including International Fund for Animal Welfare, World Vision International, Save the Children, Care International, United Purpose, DanChuirchAid, Heifer International, DAPP, Oxfam among others (for more information refer to www.gicmalawi.org ).
GIC has been contracted by the World Bank to undertake a process evaluation of the Covid-19 Urban Cash Transfer programme (CUCI) in Malawi. The Government of Malawi initiated the implementation of a COVID-19 Urban Cash Intervention (CUCI) to smoothen consumption of the urban poor population in the four cities of Blantyre, Zomba, Lilongwe and Mzuzu. The intervention is being supported by the Government of Malawi and Development Partners (World Bank, KFW, EU, GIZ, UNICEF, WFP, ILO and Irish Aid).
One the key activities in fulfilling the Terms of Reference for the Process Evaluation is to collect primary data through both quantitative and qualitative survey tools across the four cities of Malawi. GIC therefore seeks the services of Research Assistants who will assist in conducting field interviews, record research data and prepare preliminary research findings. The field data collection is expected to be undertaken in the month of May 2021.
