Job Description

ICBM ESTABLISHMENT

International College of Business and Management (ICBM) was established in 2002, then, it was called IZF Business College, and the first course to be offered was under Public Accounts Examination Council (PAEC). In 2006, Bilal Trust, which is a local, non-profit organization, took over from Islamic Zakaat Fund (IZF) and renamed it to International College of Business and Management (ICBM). The college enrolls big number of students under scholarship that it provides to the needy students. Since its inception, over 4,500 students have graduated in various programs and are now working with private and public institutions in Malawi and abroad.

To become a University for excellence, which will impart more knowledge in areas of all professionalism through excellent training, research and public engagement, with the aim of preparing graduates to perform exceptionally well in the corporate world.

To provide access to higher education opportunities, that enable students to develop knowledge and skills, necessary to achieve their professional goals, improve their productivity potential, encourage entrepreneurship, promote good values and leadership qualities through vocational and professional training.

International College of Business and Management (ICBM), in its quest to realize its vision, is inviting suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following vacant positions at its main campus in Blantyre.

Position: Quality Assurance and Research Officer


The Quality Assurance and Research Officer will be required to play a crucial role in the development, monitoring, implementation and reporting of quality in diverse areas at the college. This position shall also require the candidate to lead in the development and implementation of research activities, and report its findings that will propel the college to greater height of success.

Among the host of responsibilities of the officer will include:

  • Designing and implementing systems and procedures for the continuous monitoring improvement of the quality at the college.
  • Monitoring, evaluation, reviewing, auditing and developing continuously, the quality enhancement programs, frameworks and related systems at different levels that may promote excellence in research, learning and teaching.
  • Document results of the research system and produce reports periodically, that may be required by the colleges’ stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Social Science, Statistics, Business Management. A Master’s degree holder will have an advantage.


COMPETENCIES:


The position demands candidates who can demonstrate strong and excellent organizational and communication skills, being knowledgeable and conversant with administrative systems for an institute of higher learning, as well as possess strong ability to handle multiple tasks.
