Position: PUMP TESTING TECHNICIAN – (Grade 10), 1 Position based at the National Office, in Lilongwe.

Purpose of the position

To conduct well yield testing of rehabilitated and newly drilled boreholes across the country and undertake timely mobilization of pump testing crew and equipment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Undertake timely mobilization of pump testing crew and equipment
  •  Collect well yields data and other relevant information during pump testing and well development drilling activities
  • Check and ensure that all tools and accessories are in place
  •  Check regularly fuel and lubricants of all engines on the pump test equipment
  •  Drive field trucks
  •  Prepare required pump testing supplies periodic consumption

Knowledge, qualification and experience required

The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:

  •  Malawi school certificate of Education
  •  3 years pump testing experience

  • Certificate or formal Training in pump testing Technology
  • Must possess a valid driving license
  •  Physically fit.
