Job Description

Eagles Relief and Development Programme (Eagles) envisions self-reliant. resilient and holistically transformed communities that are able to identify their problems, find lasting solutions, take actions and have an improved standard of living Its mission remains to mobilise and empower local churches and
communities to take responsibility for their own development, collaborate with others and work together to achieve lasting and holistic change. Communities develop skills, attitudes and knowledge that enable them become self-reliant and resilient, learning to identify and solve problems facing them using what they nave, as well as collaborate with other stakeholders through networking and advocacy to address problems that are beyond their capacity


Eagles will be implementing RAISE Raising Assets and income for a Sustainable Environment in Malawi in 11 Traditional Authorities in Chikwawa district to enhance resilience to food shocks of chronic and acute food insecure populatons with funding from European Union and Irish Aid through Concern Worldwide. The project is targeting Social Cash Transfer Participating households as well as those who will soon exit from the programme in TA Chapananga, Kasisi, Katunga, Maseya, Makhuwira, Mulilima, Masache, Ndakwera Lundu, Ng’abu and Ngowe

The orgarnization is currently seeking to appoint following positions

JOB TITLE: Project Facilitators (6 posts)

REPORTING TO: Project Coordinator.

LOCATION: Traditional Authority Headquarters; Chapananga, Makhuwira, Mulilima, Ndakwera, and Ngowe in Chikwawa district


The primary purpose of the job is to ensure “that RAISE Project in Chikwawa is efficiently and effectively implemented and that project activities and outputs are achieved


  • Ensure that there is high level of community and church mobilization in RAISE in line with Eagles vision, mission and values to enhance both church and community members engagement for planned project activities
  • Planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating RAISE activities with communities and other stakeholders to ensure attainment of project objectives, output and ‘targets by adhering to approved work plans and budgets
  • Facilitating day to day implementation of project activities in line with project work plans and budgets
  • Providing technical expertise and trainings to local churches and local communities on project interventions
  • Conduct vulnerability and capacity assessments amongst the communities
  • Preparing and producing quarterly and annual work plans for RAISE in a timely manner on line with organizational and donor requirements
  • Write project progress reports on level leadership in the planning and implementation of the project activities Undertake any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time


  • A minimum of a diploma in Agriculture from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of three years experience in implementing donor-funded projects in an NGO set up in areas of food security disaster risk reduction climate change adaptation, water and sanitation, economic empowerment and church mobilization
  • Knowledge and experience in participatory approaches
  • Knowledge and experience on church and community mobilization process.
  • Excellent networking skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills on English and Chichewa
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be a practicing Christian
  • Must be self starter and motivated person, able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must possess a clean valid motorcycle driving license
