Position: PRODUCTION CONTROLLER/TEAM LEADER

We are inviting applications from intelligent and self-motivated persons for the position of Production Controller tenable at our Brewing Site in Lilongwe.

Suitable candidates should be graduates preferably in Engineering or Food Science with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar position. Diploma holders, preferably in the aforementioned disciplines with a minimum of 5 years’ hands on experience in similar position will be considered.

EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

  • Have high conceptual skills, be analytical with attention to detail and able to interact effectively in team settings.
  • Should be able to work under pressure and be prepared to work on shifts/ weekends
  • Have strong people management leadership skills and be able to provide quality control best practice leadership and maintain a disciplined and motivated team,
  • A team player capable of delivering high standards of performance.
  • Self-Starter with ability to adapt to on the job training and induction processes that will be accorded to the candidate.

KEY PERFORMANCE OUTPUT

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Controller/Team Leader will be directly responsible for effective and efficient supervision and control of production. The position will also be overseeing the packaging department to ensure maximum output with cost effective practices compliant with brewery standard operating procedures.

FUNCTIONS

  • Controlling costs and working within budget
  • Managing and motivating staff to achieve targets
  • Enforcing discipline, policy and compliance to procedures
  • Handling a highly demanding packaging environment
  • Supervising all production operations and ensuring compliance with MS21
  • Planning, Deployment, supervision and training of staff on occupational health, safety and housekeeping.
  • Controlling movement of stocks between sections.
  • Daily stock reconciliation
