Job Description

The Department of Pharmacy, in response to COVID19 and in its quest to reduce hospital acquired infections, has embarked on a project to produce Hand Sanitizer (COMPHAR). Due to increased demand of the product, the department now seeks to recruit additional staff on temporary basis up to 12 months on project terms and conditions, as follows:

Position: Production Technician
(1 Post – full time)

Job summary

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Technician will be responsible for day to day running of the production facility.

 Duties ;

  •  Making batches as part of a team
  • Developing and maintaining production records
  • Coordinating production logistics
  • Maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the production facility

Qualifications and Requirements;

  • Minimum of Diploma in Laboratory Technology, Pharmacy, or any related science field.
  • Self-motivated, good planner and with an interest in keeping things in a state of order.
  • Must be willing to become part of a dynamic production team, which consists of faculty members.
  • Must have prior lab/production experience gained from their higher education or workplace.
  • Remuneration

The successful candidate will receive a monthly salary ranging from Mk300,000 to Mk600,000 (less relevant tax).
