is delighted to be recruiting for the position of Programme Manager -Delivery (PMD)

Job purpose


Reporting to the Head of Programmes, the Programme Manager – Delivery (PMD) will be responsible for providing effective and inspirational leadership and management of Mary’s Meals Malawi’s Delivery Programme in close collaboration with the Head of Programme/the Country Director and Heads of Departments and with Mary’s Meals senior staff in headquarters and across the Mary’s Meals worldwide family. To collaborate with communities, partners, funders, government ministries and other stakeholders to promote Mary’s Meals vision and mission and optimal delivery implementation. To support strategic planning and programme development as required.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Degree in a relevant subject. A postgraduate degree in a relevant subject will be an added advantage.
  • At least three (3) years project/programme experience two of which should be at a management and team leadership level in an NGO environment with responsibility for managing staff, activities, financial resources, assets and external relationships.
  • At least 12 months of development work in a developing country.
  • Strong leadership skills including ability to be in control of delegated responsibilities.
  • Interpersonal Communication Skills.
  • Working independently with limited supervision.
  • Practical knowledge and experience of writing donor reports and funding applications.
  • Proven ability to work to programmes and meet deadlines.
  • Practical experience of programme monitoring and evaluation.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft packages especially Excel and Word.
  • Energetic and self-motivation.
  • Outstanding ability to self-organize.
  • Flexibility in extensive travelling
  • Possess a valid motor vehicle driving licence and ability to drive manual 4X4 vehicles
