Job Description

Global Seeds Ltd – is an indigenous seed company whose mission is to provide high quality, improved and affordable seed for the benefit of smallholder farmers in Malawi, see www.globalseedsmw.com. Global Seeds is implementing a 2-year project on seed production with the aim of increasing the availability and access to improved seed to industry players. Global Seeds seeks the services of the following: 

Position: Field Technicians (4 posts)– Mangochi, Mchinji, Lilongwe and Mzimba.

Duties & Responsibilities; 
  • Identifying, mobilizing and recruiting of contract smallholder farmers  
  • Providing technical support to seed growers and company customers  
  • Mounting demo fields and marketing of company products at various market expos and events  
  • Conduct field Inspections  
  • Support and maintain metrics and relevant information on farm activities.
  • Providing realistic crop yield estimates to management.

  • At least a Diploma in Agriculture from recognized college and experience in related field
  •  Demonstrated experience of farm management and/or past work with smallholder farmers  
  • Valid Motorcycle license.
