Job Description

FDH Financial Holdings Limited, one of the leading financial services organizations in Malawi, invites applications from energetic, aggressive, self-motivated, suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following positions tenable in different departments at its Head office in Blantyre.



Position: Network Specialist 

 

This position is tenable In Information Technology Department.

Reporting to the Network and Infrastructure Manager, the successful candidate shall be responsible for optimizing performance of the network infrastructure in FDH by ensuring proper design, testing, implementation and security of network components.


Key responsibilities:

  •  Monitors all network activity to ensure high availability of service.
  • Reports and makes follow ups with network providers on 3rd party related issues.
  • Provides overall solutions to all network infrastructure related Issues that are logged on Service Desk.
  • Follows up with relevant personnel that have been assigned network related tasks.
  • Plans maintenance of all network infrastructure and ensures maintenance is carried out as per set guidelines.
  • Carries out daily reviews of faults/ incident loos to identify recurring faults.
  • Determines company needs and coordinates the development and maintenance of network infrastructures with IT team.
  • Administers users on the network wills the assistance of the information Security.
  • Conducts security checks on the Bank’s network infrastructure in conjunction with IT Security team to ensure compliance.
  • Participates in project implementation as assigned.
  • Assists other technical teams in the support of computers, operating systems and other software products etc.



Qualifications, Knowledge 8 Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or related fields obtained from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the maintenance and support of network equipment and other related computer equipment.
  • Certified Cisco or CompTIA network professional
  • Candidates with additional IT related certifications will have an added advantage.
