The Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation – Malawi (BCM-CFM) is a not-for-profit organization working in partnership with the Malawi government in the health sector. Our mission is to improve the health and lives of children with HIV, cancer and blood disorders through high quality, high impact, ethical, state of the art comprehensive care and treatment, training of health professionals and clinical research. We are situated within the Kamuzu Central Hospital premises, opposite Kamuzu College of Nursing.
BCM-CFM invites applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of:
Position: Medical Officer – Global HOPE (Hematology-Oncology-Pediatric-Excellence)
The Medical Officer will be responsible in providing medical care to children with cancer and blood diseases, organize and manage day to day clinical activities, conduct research as per standard operating procedures (SOPs) and IRB-approved protocols, and participate in educational and quality improvement activities.
Essential Functions and Duties:
1. Provide Evidence-based Medical Care to Children with Cancer and Blood Diseases.
2. Organize and Manage Day to Day Clinical Activities
3. Conduct Research as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and IRB-approved Protocols.
4. Participate in Educational Activities in PHO
5. Participate in Quality Improvement (QI) Activities and Initiatives
