mothers2mothers Malawi is looking for the following professionals to join its dynamic team.

Position: M&E Data Clerks (2) Mulanje.

The Data Entry Clerk will work effectively with the Monitoring and Evaluation Department and Program team in ensuring accurate and timely capturing of M&E data.

The position will report to the M&E Coordinator and will work in great close coordination with Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant, Programme Manager and Project Managers. The Data Capturer will also regularly directly engage with the Site /Community Coordinators and Expert Client Coordinators

The duration of the contract is two years renewable subject to funding and performance and is national contract positions subject to Malawi statutory regulations.

Key Performance Areas

Data Compilation and management 70%

  •  Compilation of all relevant data, necessary for program implementation and monitoring and evaluation system
  •  Ensure receipt of all monthly and other Data reporting forms from Malawi m2m sites
  •  Ensure complete and accurate data entry and follow up where there are missing data reporting forms
  •  Conduct follow-up visits and phone calls to Site / Community Coordinator to ensure that Data received is the most precise data.
  •  Sharing the collected data with M&E Coordinator and Project staff and assist in reporting to the M&E Manager
  •  Assist the Programme Team as needed including; running reports of data used to make decisions

Data Quality management 20 %

  •  Undertake site visits to validate field reports
  •  Identify errors and return forms with errors to those responsible.
  •  Ensure that data is stored accurately and confidentially

Filling 10%

  •  Maintain filling system to ensure secure and organized storage of site reporting forms and other related M&E documents.
  •  Any other task assigned by the supervisor
Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  •  Certificate or Diploma in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized institution
  •  Experience with typing or data entry will be given a high level of preference
  •  Malawi School Certificate of Education ( MSCE)
Competencies:

  • Basic admin and computer skills
  •  Statistical software experience I.e. MS Access, stata and Excel would be advantageous
  •  Basic filing experience
  •  Familiarity with DHIS 2
  •  Ability to enter data with high level accuracy , speed and attention to detail
  •  Ability to maintain confidentiality is a must
  •  Fluency in English and Chichewa
