Reporting to the Loan Supervisor/ Branch Supervisor
The Loan Officer will be responsible for building and maintaining a healthy portfolio of micro and small enterprise clients. Identify, process, and monitor new and existing clients. Ensure accurate loan appraisals, evaluations, and the efficient follow-up of arrears/ delinquent clients and the provision of strong client service. Maintain up-to-date client records and reports.
Major Responsibilities and duties
Build and maintain a substantial and high quality loan portfolio
Solicit new loan accounts in accordance with specific period performance targets prescribed in the branch work plans
Receive loan applications and perform credit investigations on new applicants
Prepare and submit applications to the loan committee for approval
Train clients on VisionFund Malawi lending methodologies and requirements
Conduct active marketing campaigns to attract new clients
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration, Accounting or any development related field.
Minimum of three years’ work experience
Willingness and ability to work effectively in any environment
High developed sense of responsibility and correctness
Ability and desire to do exact and detailed analysis for all loan applications
Excellent communication, computing and marketing skills
Must be a committed Christian
Motorcycle driving skills and license are an added advantage
