Job Description

Acute lack of adequately trained health care workers continues to be a persistent issue with the Malawian Health Sector. Human Resources for Health (HRH) issues are further compounded by the high burden disease within Malawi, most notably HIV/AIDS. Malawi was the first country to adopt the ambitious UNAIDS 90-90-90 test and treat targets in an effort to fight HIV/AIDS. However, the achievement of this goal has HRH implications, as it requires more health workers to ensure HIV testing, linkage to treatment, and other related services. In order for Malawi to achieve the goals and targets, its HRH capacity must improve, ensuring a workforce that is adequate and well-motivated to work.

Christian Health Association of Malawi with support from PEPFAR through CDC plans to recruit health workers who will be posted in selected PEPFAR priority sites in Zomba, Mangochi, Machinga, Chikwawa and Blantyre both in Government and CHAM facilities.
