Job Description

FDH Financial Holdings Limited, one of the leading financial services organizations in Malawi, invites applications from energetic, aggressive, self-motivated, suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following positions tenable in different departments at its Head office in Blantyre.


Position: IT Risk and Security Officer

 

This position is tenable in Information Technology Department.

Reporting to the Network and Infrastructure Manager, the successful candidate shall be responsible for overseeing information security, cybersecurity and IT risk management programs based on industry-accepted information security and risk management frameworks



Key responsibilities:

  • Aligns Information Security strategies with business objectives.
  • Executes processes to prevent the loss or theft of the Bank’s intellectual property.
  • Produces monthly reports in line with the reporting framework.
  • Ensures that antivirus and patch management is up to date.
  • Ensures that all licensing is up-to-date.
  • Reviews and approves all user access requests and continuously reviews existing users.
  • Conducts periodic reviews of software and hardware to ensure compliance with IT Standards.
  • Liaises with peers to ensure appropriate security controls in place are in accordance with IT standards.
  • Conducts audit Issue Management.
  • Follows up all overdue audit Issues.
  • Conducts information Risk Assessment etc.



Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems or related fields obtained from a recognized institution.
  • Candidates with additional IT Rick A Security related certifications will have an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in IT security, Infrastructure support, Systems Administration, Applications support, Electronic Banking/Channels Support and Programming.
