Job Description

Malawi Fertilizer Company (MFC) invites applications from suitably qualified and results driven candidates for consideration to fill the following post which is tenable at the MFC Head Office in Kanengo, Lilongwe:


Key Responsibilities


Reporting to the Group Head of Security Meridian and MFC Security manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with evaluation of the cost effectiveness of service providers and suppliers.
  • Preventing further losses with the correct implementation of procedures.
  • Conducting cost-effective investigations.
  • Recovering fund and stock.
  • Supporting the head office with queries pertaining to external client.
  • Interacting and providing feedback to relevant stakeholders in relation to investigations.
  • Handling all summons received.
  • Ensuring fast responses to incidents via swift investigations.
  • Allocating ‘correct’ (i.e. sufficiently skilled) resources to the investigations.
  •  Ensuring appropriate feedback is attained from the relevant external investigator i.e. Malawi Police
  • Establishing a strong network of contacts with other authorities to assist with investigations.

Minimum Qualification and work experience

  • Diploma in Criminal Justice or Forensic Investigations or equivalent
  • 3 years of proven investigations/forensic experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Word, MS Excel and related programs.
  • Knowledge of Criminal Procedure and Law of Evidence Act.
