Job Description

The Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA), an organization entrusted with the assessment, collection and accounting for tax revenues for the Malawi Government is inviting applications from suitably qualified and interested candidates to fill the following vacant position in the Human Resources & Organisation Development Division.


Position : Human Resources Officer

          

Grade       :          E3

Location  :          Head Office        



FUNCTION / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
  • Provide counseling on HR policies and procedures
  • Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting adverts and managing the hiring process
  • Create and implement effective on-boarding plans
  • Preparing and maintaining personnel records and ensuring that all employee files contain relevant documentation
  • Ensuring that HR matters and files are treated in the strictest confidence
  • Assist in performance management processes and maintaining records on the same
  • Administration and tracking of Leave;
  • Participating in HR Projects

 


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


Applicants should have the following qualifications, experience and skills: -

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management/ Business Administration, Public Administration
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of SAP-HR/HCM; and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping
  • General knowledge of employment laws and best practices
  • Should have at least 2 years’ HR work related experience in a busy office
