Job Description

Workforce Recruitment Services, (WRS) seeks to recruit a Human Resource Officer. The position  requires a mature, organized and responsible person who can work independently to fulfill the  positions role. 



Position: HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
 



Location: Lilongwe 

The purpose of the job is to successfully support the Human Resources Manager in ensuring  hiring, developing and looking after clients employees. This involves functions such as assisting  in the recruitment process, induction, monitoring performance, disciplinary hearing process  and payroll processes.  


REPORTING TO THE HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER, THE ROLE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
 

  • Being actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and  managing the hiring process 
  • Supporting the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems Maintaining employee information by entering and updating employment and status  change data. 
  • Keeping and filing records of employee information. 
  • Maintaining confidentiality of employee personal information. 
  • Support the management of disciplinary and grievances issue. 


RELATED JOB REQUIREMENT / QUALIFICATION
 

Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills 

  • Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources Management or any relevant field 
  • Proficient in Microsoft office, Records Management, etc  
  • Excellent knowledge in customer experience discipline/professional  
  • Able to work under high stress with short term targets and objectives 
  • Able to handle, prioritize, multiple projects simultaneously  
  • Able to operate in performance driven organization
  • Knowledge of English and vernacular. 

Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years)
  • Not less than three years’ experience  



Other requirements (Behavioral etc.) 

  • Fluency in English 
  • Strong ethics, hands on approach 
  • Planning and organisation skills 
  • Attention to detail and follow through 
  • Good negotiations skills 
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written 
  • Self-motivated 
  • Problem solving skills
