Job Description

Urgently looking for Human Resource and Health, Safety & Environment Officer to be tenable in Blantyre.

Position: Human Resource and Health, Safety & Environment Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain proper filing of employee personal files
• Manage HR database
• Maintain an up to date archiving system for all personal records
• Manage and maintain staff and motor insurance records
• Manage staff welfare
• Maintain daily attendance records for employees
• Assist in staff recruitment
• Manage employee Pension scheme
• Handle on Industrial Relations issues
• Handle administration issues for the organization
• Compile safety programs
• Implement and enhance health and safe working standards
• Establish a cordial and professional relationship with employees
• Maintain compliance of all safety regulations at the workplace and project site
• Identify hazardous waste disposal systems
• Compile and maintain register for HSE occurrences
• Document staff information, minutes of meetings on HSE
• Regularly inspect fire and safety equipment and working areas

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Human Resources and Administration or relevant qualifications with a minimum experience of 5 years or degree with 3 years experience in a busy organisation

 
Skills and Knowledge

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, word and excel
• Thorough understanding of Malawi Labours Laws
• Ability to interact with staff at all levels and possess of conflict management and problem –solving skills
• Must have people management technics
• Must possess interpersonal skills
• Must have effective organizational skills
• Must have meticulous behaviour
