Founded in 1987, AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is a global organization providing cutting-edge medicine and advocacy to over 1, 500, 000 people in 43 countries. In Malawi, AHF is working in partnership with the Ministry of Health (MOH) to strengthen access to quality of HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis (TB) and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) treatment. AHF Malawi is providing prevention, treatment and retention services in seventeen hard to reach health facilities in Dedza, Lilongwe, Ntcheu and Chikwawa District. In 2021, the program is extending its reach to four additional sites in Nsanje District.
AHF Malawi wishes to recruit highly qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions in order to achieve its objectives in the country.
Position Title : HIV Diagnostic Assistants
Reports to : Prevention Program Officer
Duty Station : Nsanje District Hospital (1); Montfort Hospital, Chikwawa (1); Lobi Health Center, Dedza (1)
Overall Responsibilities
Responsible for promoting and carrying out HIV Counselling and Testing at facility level as well as in the surrounding communities; scaling up Provider-Initiated Testing and Care (PITC) at facility level; and facilitating linkage of those who test HIV positive for treatment and other support services.
