Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor of education degree in primary education, or special education.
Excellent resource mobilization experience.
Good knowledge of Cambridge and MANEB curriculum knowledge and supervision
Strong leadership skills with vision and resilience to drive forward the school programs
Proven track record of achieving success and raising standards as a teacher and leader
Gives highest priority to the quality of education by ensuring that all children benefit and prepare them for an ever-changing world.
Has ability to motivate and inspire children and staff to reach their full potential.
Able to build a strong rapport with parents’ staff; members of the board and PTA.
Excellent in organizing staff development programs especially phonic reading
Has relational maturity
Has gross cultural experience and openness to embrace the richness in diversity
Willing to make a long-term commitment to the school
Has personal and professional integrity and is visible and approachable
The head shall:
Provide strategic leadership to the school
Academic and administrative functions in consultation with the director of administration
Implementing policies approved by the board and ensure delivery of sound and innovative academic programs
Promote excellence in teaching and learning environment
Develop collaborative partnerships with relevant stakeholders
Implement programs and projects in accordance with the school policy
Perform such other functions as may be prescribed by the board of directors
