Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of
Head of Finance.


Position Description


As a member of the Executive Management Team, the Head of Finance will report directly to the General Manager and is responsible for managing all ADMARC Ltd’s accounting and economic aspects in line with the combined strategic and operational goals of the company.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  •  Advising the General Manager and other members of the management team on financial matters and establishing appropriate policies and procedures for ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards.
  • Advise the General Manager and the Board on sourcing of external financing and ensure compliance with financing terms and commission.
  •  Oversee the implementation of ADMARC Ltd’s financial strategies, policies, procedures and ensure that they are in accordance with laid down processes.
  •  Ensure complete documentation, stewardship, and accountability for all financial transactions
    and systems including procurement, inventory and information technology among others.
  •  Monitor and review the work-plan budgeting, budget tracking, budget adherence and financial
    budget reporting processes and systems.
  •  Treasury management including cash flows forecasting and monitoring, debt management, taxation and related financial transactions.
  • Producing monthly, quarterly and annual performance management reports, and financial statements for stakeholder information.
  •  Managing and providing leadership, guidance and direction to the Finance department including information communication technology.
  •  Oversee Annual financial external audits in line with statutory mandate to ensure adherence to Public Finance Management Act, financial services laws and regulations.
  •  Undertaking any other activities as may be assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

  • The successful candidate should have Masters’ Degree with certified qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA.
  • 10 years with not less than 5 years at Senior Management level.
  • A deeper understanding of Public Finance Management Act, Public Audit Act, Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Act, Taxation Act and Corporate Governance.

Requisite Knowledge, Abilities and skills

  • Candidates must possess excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Sound management and interpersonal skills, proficient analytical skills.
  • Exceptional computer skills and working knowledge of enterprise reporting systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and supervising a big finance department.
  • Excellent record of accurate and on-time reporting to Government. Remuneration Package.

The successful candidate will be offered a negotiated performance related contract for a period of three years, attractive salary, benefits and gratuity package commensurate with the seniority of position.
