Job Description

Position: FINANCIAL CONTROL MANAGER



Applications are invited From knowledgeable, experienced and skilled candidates to fill the post of Financial Control Manager. The position is tenable in Blantyre, Malawi. The successful candidate will report to the Chief Finance Officer. This role will contribute to financial management, accounting budgeting and financial planning thereby ensuring that the organization is transparent, accountable and able to mitigate risks while increasing stakeholders value.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capex accounting and Reporting.
  • Fixed Asset Register and physical asset control.
  • Independent Financial control over procurement processes for Capex and all the related Opex.
  • Independent Financial Control over Supply Agreements as well as the related Maintenance and Support agreements.
  • Preparing and Controlling Capex Budget documentation and Capex Budget motivations.
  • Financial Control over Capex Creditors and payments.
  • Asset Insurance Management.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in accountancy obtained from a recognized university plus a professional qualification in accountancy with ACCA, CIMA, ICAM or equivalent.


Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience
  • Experience of statutory and executive management reporting
  • Experience of working in a multinational, multi-segment, environment with matrix reporting.
  • Prior experience in well-known banking or accounting software and a successful, track record in implementing new accounting and reporting systems will be required.
