Jhpiego is an international, non-profit health organization affiliated with the Johns Hopkins University. Jhpiego has been working in Malawi since 1999 implementing a wide - range of interventions in maternal health, family planning, HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment. Current projects include facility and community-based HIV testing services, and HIV prevention
The Field Coordinator-VMMC provides technical leadership for the community-based demand creation activities and technical clinical leadership for Jhpiego’s voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) program funded by the U.S. Department of Defense that is implemented within Malawi Defense Force (MDF) sites. S/he will also provide clinical support for service delivery activities with a focus on outreach activities. S/he works under close guidance and support from the Deputy Project Director to meet quality standards continuity of services. S/he will ensure coordination between demand and service delivery teams at site level. S/he will ensure delivery of quality VMMC Services. S/he will be responsible for providing technical and management support to teams to achieve daily, weekly and quarterly VMMC targets, including appropriate referrals and linkages to other services. S/he will be responsible for representing the project independently, or along with line supervisor in various meetings and ensuring collaboration with the donor and other partners/stakeholders, working closely with Ministry of Health (MOH) to ensure alignment with their priorities.
