Job Description

Malawi AIDS Counselling and Resource Organization (MACRO) is a non-governmental organization that provides quality HIV prevention and treatment services to individuals, families and communities through static and outreach outlets in order to reduce HIV transmission and the impact of HIV and AIDS in Malawi.

Currently, applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals to fill the following vacant post.

POSITION         : EXPERT CLIENT COORDINATOR (2 Posts )

 LOCATION       : Dedza and Ntcheu Districts


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of Diploma in Health, Social Sciences or related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience in health program management
  • Licensed motorcycle rider
  • Basic knowledge of M & E systems and tools
  • Excellent communication, time management skills, good reporting and writing skills
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining strategic relationships with external stakeholders at multiple levels
  • Strong computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, Internet)

JOB FUNCTION:
Coordinating the implementation of the activities in his/her designated cluster of facilities.  To further its goal of identifying new HIV positive clients and retaining them in care.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Supports Expert Clients to deliver services in facilities according to the National HIV Testing, ART treatment protocols through Pre-enrollment support by;
  • Coordinating linkages within the facility and community to ensure all HIV-tested clients are appropriately linked to care enrolment and HTS, ART referral registers Patient Appointment by monitoring:
  • Ensuring that appointments diary is up-to-date (paper-based) and the mobile health application
  • Tracking missed appointments transferred into tracking register are up-to-dated in the mobile health application
  • Ensuring that tracing outcomes are updated in the electronic medical records system(EMRS) for the MoH Compile and timely submission of weekly Missed appointment cohort reports
  • Coordinating adherence counseling by checking the number of adherence education sessions performed Psychosocial Support, Check the number of:

2. Provides strategic technical guidance and support to the Expert Clients by educating, and engaging them through:

  • Training and mentoring them on their roles and responsibilities through one on one sessions
  • Coordinating weekly meetings with Expert Clients to facilitate staff development
  • Conducting quality assurance and quality improvement exercised in all facilities
  • Conducting supportive supervision using standardized checklist (QA/QI Bio tool)
  • Ensuring that the DHIS-2 tracker for virtual psychosocial support services is up to date
  • Ensuring availability of tools and timely reporting by ECs
  • Compiling weekly and monthly reports on program activities
  • Liaising with the designated facility focal point person to check Expert Clients performance
