Job Description

PL FM and GD TV invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following challenging positions:



This is a senior and highly demanding position reporting directly to the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO).


Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Radio and Television Stations in planning, implementing and providing oversight to all operations including effective administrative support, budget management, grants management, contract management, human resource and human capital management, evaluation and development, increasing listenership as well as viewership, community and public feedback and audience research and information to validate and/or modify programming when necessary.
  • Provide visionary Leadership in growing the value of PL FM and GD TV
  • Ensure that both Radio and Television Stations facilities and equipments, including studios, offices, computers, softwares, transmitters, telecommunications, networks and any other materials or items needed to effectively broadcast daily programming on a 24 – hour basis are operating and maintained and repaired in a timely manner.
  • Market and promote the functions, corporate image and credibility of PL FM and GD TV.
  • Drive advertising revenue across Radio, TV and Internet Platforms by leading marketing and sales staff to optimize advertising agencies and direct client relationships.
  • Set realistic strategic and tactical goals for execution that can be brought to fruition in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Represent the broadcast organizations to industry and external interests.
  • Manage an upbeat and rewarding broadcast corporate culture that attracts and retains skilled and competent broadcasting professionals.
  • Remain sensitive to social, economic and political issues at all times.


Qualifications, Experience and Attributes

  • Must be a committed Christian and able to promote the spiritual nurture of others and possess a Degree of Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or a Degree of Masters in Mass Communication or its equivalent obtained from well recognized and accredited institution.
  • At least 3 - 5 years of experience working in a similar position
  • Excellent Analytical, Interpersonal, Organizational, Computer Skills
  • Must be flexible, disciplined and able to lead PL FM and GD TV by being Regulatory Compliant, Professional Compliant while achieving the vision, mission and objectives of GDHL.
  • Must possess a good driving record and a valid driver's license
