A job opportunity has arisen in our organisation for the position of Electrical Technician.

ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

The successful applicant will report to the Workshop Manager Key responsibilities

•  Repairs electrical faults as reported by farm managers
•  Conducts annual inspections for preventive maintenance to ensure safety of electrical equipment and installations
•  Facilitates spares requisitions Facilitates spares requisitions

Qualifications & Experience

•  MSCE
•  Minimum Grade 1 Trade test in Electrical installation
•  3 – 5 years’ experience in electrical installation and maintenance in a busy environment
•  Sound knowledge and experience in electric motors.
•  Sound knowledge and experience in mains Power line i.e transmission and distribution.
•  Sound knowledge and experience in irrigation equipment e.g. Centre pivots
•  Sound knowledge and experience in Diesel Generators (Gensets)
•  Sound knowledge of electric controls
•  Experience in diagnosing electric faults in an electric circuit. The Person
• Should be a team player, prepared to work long hours including weekends with great communication skills.
