Job Description

Farming and Engineering Services Limited (FES), the leading supplier of premium brand products including Massey Ferguson tractors and generators, Baldan farm implements, Komatsu construction machinery and precision agriculture solutions has immediate vacancies for 2 Drone Pilots based at its office at Nchalo Estate.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Drivers’ License
• BSc Agricultural or GIS degree
• DCA accredited multi-rotor RPAS licence (Required)
• Radio Telephony Licence (Preferred)
• English proficiency (read, write, speak)
• Previous Experience
•  No prior experience required
•  Proficient in Microsoft Excel
•  Experience in a farming environment preferred
•  GIS experience preferred
•  Proficient in the use of smart-phones preferred

• Good planning and activity scheduling skills, technical skills and a hands-on approach.
• Tech-savvy
• Good hand-eye coordination (required to operate a drone)
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Able to communicate at all levels.
• Ability to work effectively with people of different cultural backgrounds.

• Capability to work under strict deadlines but with a safety-first mindset.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.

• Client liaison skills.
• Profile
• Utilize computer software to create plans, work and service schedules.
• Troubleshoot problems that may come up during the agricultural season.
• Scheduling of daily workflows
• Monitor daily productivity of contracted equipment
• Set daily work programmes.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards.
