Job Description

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a health related field is a must.
  • A minimum of four years’ work experience in OVC program planning, implementation and monitoring/evaluation especially in the context of HIV/AIDS preferred.
  • Experience in supporting economic strengthening interventions for improved livelihoods of OVC households will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, writing and verbal communication skills particularly assisting OVC grantees to improve their filing and reporting key
  • Familiarity with Ministry of Health, Gender, Labour, Social Development and USAID/PEPFAR and OVC programming policies and regulations
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills in OVC programming is required
  • Candidate must be familiar with the trends in national OVC program including guidelines, standards of practice and best practices
  • Candidate should be familiar with cultural issues around HIV response in Malawi
  • Candidates must have the ability to use a computer and Microsoft word, excel, outlook
