Job Description

MINISTRY OF YOUTH, SPORTS AND CULTURE

Post : Copyright Officer (Grade I)

Salary: Within the Grade I salary scale segment

Location : Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture


 
Qualifications

Applicants should be in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields obtained from accredited institutions: Management Information Systems, Social Science (Psychology), Intellectual Property and Cultural Heritage.

Duties

Develop and implement copyright compliance programmes and ensure successful conclusion of court cases on copyright matters; manage online information resources on copyright, the arts and cultural heritage for both sensitization and promotional purposes; conduct desk research on best practices for enforcement of copyright issues and promotion of the arts, etc.

Note:
Documentary evidence of major requirements specified in the advertisement shall be needed during
interviews. Serving officers will also be required to demonstrate during the interviews that they are permanent and pensionable officers in the Civil Service by producing letters of confirmation in appointment in addition to letters of appointment (PSR 19).
