Illovo Sugar (Malawi) plc is the country’s leading producer of raw and refined sugar as well as specialty sugar. It employs more than 9000 permanent and seasonal employees in a year at its corporate office in Limbe and operation sites at Dwangwa and Nchalo. Illovo Sugar (Malawi) Plc is part of Illovo Sugar Africa Group, operating in 6 countries in Africa, and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Associated British Foods Plc (ABF), a diversified international foods, ingredients and retail group operating in 48 countries.

Position: Contract Artisans (General Fitters - 12 posts)

Illovo Sugar (Malawi) plc invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the above vacancies in the Factory Division.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Level 3 TEVET Certificate.
• Grade One Trade Test in a related field or Advanced Craft Malawi Certificate.
• MSCE
• Have undergone indentured Apprenticeship.
• Two years’ experience in a busy manufacturing industry.
• Those who have worked in the Sugar Industry before will have an added advantage.

THE JOB

This is a three months contract job and the successful candidates will among other things be required to carry out Off Crop maintenance work in the Factory.
