Job Description

Médecins Sans Frontières, (MSF) is an international independent medical humanitarian organization working together with the Ministry of Health in Chiradzulu district on HIV program.

MSF-FRANCE is recruiting suitable candidates for the position of:

Position: Clinical Activity Manager

Based in Chiradzulu

General Duties

  • Overseeing the work of all clinical staff according to MSF treatment protocols, standards and procedures,
  • Provide clinical advice and support to clinicians, managing and mentoring them to help them hone their skills in order to warrant efficiency, quality and continuity of prescribed care
  • Responsible for the delivery of good clinical care to patients in the MSF HIV/AIDS & TB cohort of stable/unstable children & adolescents and unstable adult patients with the aim to ensure medical quality care is provided to the patients
  • Review, develop and implement clinical guidelines
  • Ensure application of clinical guidelines and protocols for patient management, specifically targeting the children, adolescents and unstable patients
  • Ensure the correct use of patient files
  • Supervise the nutritional activities
  • Facilitate improvement of TB case detection and management of patients with MDR-TB
  • Monitor and evaluate clinical activities and define objectives and action plans
  • Participate in project planning, implementation and reporting

Contract Details
  • Six-month contract renewable, including six weeks’ probation period
  • Intended start date: February 2020

Skills & Qualifications
  • Medical doctor or paramedical degree and registration with Medical Council. Desirable specialization or training in Tropical Medicine or related studies
  • Essential 2 year working experience related to the degree and previous experience in MSF in the field
  • Chichewa, English
  • Computer Literacy
