Malawi National Council of Sports (MNCS) operates within the legal framework of the Malawi National Council of Sports Act of 1974. The Act defines the duties of the Council and its various committees and the legal powers of the Minister in charge of Sports. MNCS has been entrusted with the responsibility to manage, control, develop and promote sport at all levels in the country
Externally, MNCS is the State Corporation that provides for developing, promoting, encouraging and controlling all forms of sport in Malawi on a national basis. Internally. MNCS fosters to promote a vibrant sporting culture, high standards of sportsmanship and discipline in sport practice by maintaining a highly skilled and well motivated workforce.
In order to fulfil its obligation effectively and efficiently with strategic leadership and management, an excellent and rare opportunity has arisen to engage a qualified person of Malawian origin to fill an Executive Management position of CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER tenable at its Head Office in Blantyre.

B. SUMMARY OF THE JOB
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible to MNCS Board of Directors for the efficient and effective management of sports. The CEO will have overall responsibility in managing sports and providing leadership, guidance and advice on policy as well as overall strategic direction of the Council and general management of the organisation including its resources.
