Job Title : Assistant Systems and Database Administrator

Grade : NC6


Department : Finance and Administration


Division : ICT Division


Reports to : Systems and Database Administrator


Responsible for : None


PURPOSE, ROLES AND RESPONSIBLITIES


Purpose of the job: To provide ICT services


Key duties and responsibilities

• Providing first line support for any information technology issues.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Liaising with ICT Service providers.
• Managing the inventory of ICT Systems;
• Maintaining database systems to meet user requirements .
• Conducting system needs assessment for ICT services and
• Providing necessary support in designing backup processes for server and associated data.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND PERFORMANCE

Minimum Academic/Professional Qualification and Work Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/information Technology of equivalent, PLUS
• At least three (3) years’ experience in related fields

Decision Making/Job influence

• Male decisions and judgement using standard Operating procedures
• Make decisions on new IT processes for innovations.

Working Conditions

• Interacts with clients who may exert external pressure to get favourable consideration:
• Need to create extra time to search for information to keep abreast of emerging trends.
