Job Description

The Anti-Corruption Bureau was established by an Act of Parliament to receive and investigate complaints of alleged or suspected corrupt practices; to prosecute offences under the Corrupt Practices Act; to investigate and report on the conduct of any public officer which is connected or conducive to corrupt practices; to take necessary measures for the prevention of corruption in public and private bodies and to solicit public support in the fight against corruption.

ACB is in the process of recruiting suitable persons to fill vacant posts as follows:


Job Title : Assistant Report Centre Officer G9/K

 

Division : Investigations


Responsible to : Report Centre Officer


Responsible for : None



Purpose of the Job

To manage the receipt and processing of all complaints/reports received by the Bureau.


Duty Station : Mzuzu



Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receiving complaints.
  • Act as a secretary of the Complaints Review Committee (CRC).
  • Signing bail forms for clients.
  • Giving advice to complainants.
  • Conducting Preliminary Investigations into complaints, reports or other information of alleged or suspected corrupt practices or offences
  • Inputting complaints data into Complaints Data Capture System



Minimum Qualification and Experience

  • Diploma in any relevant field from a recognized Institution
  • Two years working experience.
