We Effect is now recruiting an Administration Assistant. This is part of the Finance and Administration Unit in We Effect Malawi Country office in Lilongwe.


Position: Administration Assistant


Main responsibilities


As administration Assistant you are responsible for assisting in general administration and finance duties, performing the following responsibilities;

  • Ensuring cleanliness of the offices
  • Assisting in photocopy and scanning of documents
  • Manning reception, telephone and visitors
  • Filing of documents
  • Assist in office procurements
  • Running various errands outside office
  • Preparation of office refreshments during meetings
  • Handling mail
  • Assist in asset management
  • Assist in stores management
  • Any other duties


About the candidate


As an Administration Assistant, you need to have the ability to plan work on a daily and weekly basis, the ability to analyze operating problems relevant to the job and environment and have problem solving skills. You need to have clear verbal and written communication skills, computer literate with Microsoft office skills, good numerous and calculation skills and the ability to multi-task and work under minimum supervision. As a person, you are positive, have good integrity and a team player.


Required qualifications

  • Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
  • Minimum of experience of 3 years in a busy office
  • Good communication skills with fluent English
  • Diploma in Business administration or Accounting obtained from a recognized institution


Merits

  • Motorcycle driving license will be an added advantage
  • Excel computer skills will be an added advantage



The employment is a nine months fixed-term contract, with the possibility of prolongation based on performance and funding.
