Fisherman's Rest has been working alongside neighboring communities in schools and villages. Today It's a thriving not for profit Lodge and Nature Reserve and NGO, the largest employer in the surrounding area and the wider the local community. 

​Our vision is to see the districts around Fisherman's Rest thrive, through communities working together to raise living standards, education, and economic opportunity. From Fisherman’s Rest, we organise unforgettable holidays. We are able to offer a range of day trips and tours to the famous Lake of Stars, the National Parks, and wildlife reserves, using lodges and venues that meet all budgets. We also offer opportunities for individuals and groups to engage with local communities across a wide range of projects in schools, clinics, prisons, orphanages, churches, and villages but at the heart of everything we do is a drive to give back to the local communities around us.
